Saint-Eustache, November 20 – On November 13, Simon Durand joined the Fédération de l'UPA Outaouais-Laurentides as Regional Director. With a bachelor's degree in economics and agri-food management from Université Laval and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, Mr. Durand was the executive director of the Union des cultivateurs franco-ontariens from 2007 to 2019 and of the Ferme d'éducation et de recherche du campus d'Alfred from 2015-2019. Since 2019, he has been General Manager of the Convex Group, an Ontario-based not-for-profit organization comprising 7 companies and 180 employees.

A gifted communicator, Mr. Durand stands out for his ability to forge fruitful relationships. His proven experience working with management teams and boards of directors reinforces his ability to collaborate within teams and positively influence strategic decisions. Known for his contagious enthusiasm and deep commitment to agricultural producers, he positions himself as a passionate ambassador and dedicated advocate of their cause.
