Considering the existing context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federation UPA O-L wishes to regularly inform members-producers about measures adopted and recent news that may impact them. This webpage is updated frequently.
Services to members are maintained
According to the sanitary measures announced on January 6 – confinement, curfew, etc. – and because of the mandatory teleworking, the UPA Outaouais-Laurentides is no longer receiving clients or visitors in the office, until February 8 inclusively. Service to producers are maintained and files will be processed promptly.
Producers who must hand out documents, can do so by depositing them in a box at the entrance. Instructions are posted at the entrance doors. We are counting on everyone’s cooperation to comply with measures in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. No in person contact are possible with staff members. Producers are invited to contact their profesionnal by email for any request.

October 31, 2020 is the new deadline to apply for the CEBA (Canadian Emergency Business Account in the form of a loan of $ 40,000). The requirement to have a business account is under negotiation, stay tuned. Two application forms are available depending on whether or not a minimum of $ 20,000 in wages is paid.
Good to know: expenses incurred for the purchase of materials used to manufacture a product usually sold by the borrower are recognized as eligible expenses that cannot be carried forward and include expenses incurred for materials that are consumed or transformed for manufacturing products generally offered for sale - or which are incorporated into such products - such as raw materials, ingredients, supplies, seeds or animal feed.

The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) is extended until December 2020. It is available to more businesses, however the amount of the subsidy will be adjusted according to the decrease in the applicant's income.
